Getting into a routine: Making DryNites® part of your child's daily routine

Break the cycle of worry and anxiety children feel after continuous mornings of wet sheets and damp skin. Using absorbent sleepwear such as DryNites® as part of their routine will ensure that your child wakes up dry and help them to start feeling secure and confident again.

DryNites Bed Mats

A few simple ways to help make DryNites® a normal part of your child's daily routine:

Keep them in a handy place like in your child's underwear draw next to their pyjamas or with their daytime underwear.

Put a bin with a lid in your child's bedroom so that they can dispose of used DryNites® in the morning.

Encourage your child to take DryNites® to sleepovers with friends. Show them how discrete they are under clothes and explain how they can change in and out of them in the bathroom. Or put a pair at the bottom of their sleeping bag for them to slip on during the night. Remember to include a plastic bag in their over-night bag for the used DryNites® in the morning.

If your child seems a bit reluctant to try absorbent sleepwear, here are some things you can point out to encourage them to try using DryNites®:

  • DryNites® look and can be used like real underwear and are far more comfortable than plastic sheets.
  • Show your child that DryNites® are made for older children, just like them, not like a baby's nappy.
  • Explain that by using new DryNites® they will wake up clean and dry. There won't be any upset or frustration at having to strip the bed in the morning or the middle of the night.
